We are seeking passionate and dedicated Seasonal Event Staff to join our team during the bustling wedding and event season.
DEFINITION:
As a member of our event staff, you will have the opportunity to be part of creating beautiful and memorable experiences for our clients and their guests. From setup to execution and cleanup, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that each event is executed flawlessly and exceeds our clients' expectations.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Works under supervision and direction of the Event Coordinator.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES (May include, but not limited to, the following):
- Assist with the setup and decoration of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, linens, and decorations according to event specifications and design plans.
- Provide warm and welcoming hospitality to wedding couples, guests, and vendors, ensuring their needs are met and any questions or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Coordinate with wedding planners and coordinators to execute event timelines and ensure seamless transitions between ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
- Assist with event breakdown and cleanup, including packing up decorations, clearing tables, and returning event spaces to their original condition.
- Collaborate with other event staff and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of events and provide support as needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- Hospitality, event support, or customer service is preferred but not required.
- Columbia River Gorge attractions and their location or the aptitude to quickly acquire such knowledge.
Ability to:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with clients, guests, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules and operational needs.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects, such as tables and chairs, as required for event setup and breakdown.
- Passion for creating exceptional experiences and a commitment to delivering outstanding service to every client and guest.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Any combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A representative example of how the required knowledge and abilities could be acquired includes:
Training:
- Sufficient education to follow written and oral instructions.
- Experience in working in a customer service setting, and working in a fast–paced environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Satisfactory completion of mandatory pre-employment drug testing.
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting and reaching. Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Work is subject to varying shift assignments. Work is subject to irregular rest and meal periods.
